By Auto You can drive from San Jose to Puntarenas (100 Kms or 2 hour drive) and take the ferry from Puntarenas to Paquera. You will then drive from Paquera to Montezuma (40 Kms or 1 hour drive).
By Plane The national domestic airline SANSA
flies 18 seat planes daily to Playa Tambor, which is located 40 minutes from Montezuma. You must reserve with them prior to flying.
By Public Transportation San Jose/Puntarenas (bus station on Avenida 12) leaves daily at 7.00 am or 11.00 am Puntarenas/Paquera (passenger boat "Lancha"leaves from market dock) daily at 11.00 am and 3.00 pm Once you arrive in Paquera there will be a bus which departs directly to Montezuma. There is also a direct bus from San Jose to Montezuma.
