Location

Luz de Mono located in Montezuma village is situated within a wondrous tropical garden that white faced monkeys, iguanas, coatis, raccoons, armadillos, howler monkeys and kinkajous roam freely. The beach is so close to the hotel, (35 meters away) that you will hear the waves crashing all day and night long, while the village of Montezuma is only a short walk away.

Infrastructure

The open-air restaurant, Congo Azul at Luz de Mono hotel, serves gourmet cuisine, as well as mouth-watering barbeque from the garden grill. The bar serves a wide selection of wines and spirits, along with an array of delicious tropical cocktails. The ambiance of the restaurant and bar is inviting, relax in a hammock or sit at a table in the garden and enjoy the wildlife. The hotel hosts a house music party and a reggae party each week, featuring local DJ's. Come join the rest of the town and get your groove on!

Suites

Luz de Mono hotel offers 12 thoughtfully designed suites, all with screened windows that allow the ocean breeze to freely flow through. All suites have a queen sized bed, refrigerator, coffee maker, shower heated by thermo solar energy, ceramic floor and fan. Some suites have a queen size bed and a single bed or bunk beds.

Villas

Luz de Mono Private Villas: Each one nestled into the hillside and surrounded by fruit and flowering trees. All come equipped with a kitchen, including a refrigerator, stove, microwave, utensils, dishes and cooking ware. Some of the private villas have two bedrooms, with either two queen beds, or one queen bed and one set of bunk beds. Some have one room with one queen bed. Most of the private villas have terraces with teak lounge chairs, or hammocks, Jacuzzis, and ocean and sunrise views.

Lanscaping

The landscaping at Luz de Mono hotels has been carefully thought out and includes several species of endangered trees, and other tropical flowering plants that create a magical feeling for both guests and animals. The neat paths leading to the rooms and Private Villas are softly lit up at night so that one can find their room easily.

We also offer a secure parking lot for the rooms and Private Villas as well as a night guard. Next to the hotel property lies a reserve of 300 hectares of primary forest where the wildlife and fauna are able to exist in protection.
